Grant Shumate is a visual artist from Los Angeles California. He re-purposes and recycles media to create paintings, installations, videos, books and graphics. Using details of media like digitalization/ layering/ hd color and commercial printing processes, he looks to connect with themes & textures we culturally understand while making them poignant to the human experience. His work has been shown in The United States and abroad and featured in surveys at such institutions as the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles and highlighted in publications like Nippon Vogue.
